    Social Health
    Policy and Practice

Our third workstream will bring together findings from the GeoAI for Social Health project and the Social Health Cohort Study. Working closely with people with lived experience of Severe Mental Illness, this workstream will use the evidence to design practical social interventions and develop clear policy recommendations.

The focus will be on turning research findings into real-world change. By combining insights about neighbourhood environments, social connections, and everyday experiences, the team will identify where support is most needed and what kinds of changes could make the biggest difference to people’s lives. People with lived experience will be involved throughout, helping to shape priorities and ensure that proposed interventions are realistic, acceptable, and meaningful.

The aim is to create scalable, affordable interventions and inform policies that improve social support, community resources, and living conditions for people with severe mental illness, alongside existing medical care.
